Good Antenna (2010-08-30) : 5/5
This is my first OTA Antenna but it works just like it is described. I get 12 channels total, but only 5 or 6 are worth watching. The Antenna is very big and does stick out, so when I have people over and I know I will not be using it I simply push down the rods and take off the Antenna and store it. It takes less then a minute to do this so it is very convenient! Overall I am pleased with this purchase and I would recommend the product.
indoor antenna that works (2010-08-29) : 5/5
Could use heavier base to improve stability. Nevertheless, it receives vhf and uhf signals as advertised. May require directional positioning depending on variety of broadcast origins but that's a simple task. I have tried other antennas but some of them did not account for broadcasters using vhf so this model covers both options.
Cable no more (2010-08-26) : 4/5
I get channels that are 60 miles away with this amazing antenna. It's odd looking and somewhat large, but it works great. The amplification really makes a difference. My HDTV is located on the second floor, so elevation has something to do with it. Won't work in a basement, but find a good spot for it and you can say goodbye to cable bills.
Worked like a Charm - No fuss (2010-08-26) : 5/5
I just installed the Antenna last night. I am in the Houston area in the northwest, so about 40 miles from the antenna cluster.
Setup and connections took 5 min. I pointed the antenna to the towers and voila! PBS, ABC, all the local channels and some that I had never seen before. In total about 60 channels where identified by the channel auto-scan.
Bye Bye Cable bills.
I could not be happier with this little antenna. It is not as large as I thought and not as ugly as bunny-ears.
Happy Camper here!
Bye Bye Cable company (2010-08-25) : 5/5
I bought this because I was sick of paying time warner for cable TV. I set this antenna up in my sun room and then connected it to my new led TV; the antenna found 42 channels that come in with better HD clarity then Time Warner was able to provide. You can even connect your TIVO using the antenna so its still posable to have a DVR that gives you the on screen programming.
